I guess it's just another 'long story'. claired80 , I know what you mean... I ALWAYS read the episode comments because I can't help myself and it never fails to ruin the episode for me, so this once I tried really hard not to. We should get one of those rubber bands you tie around your waist and tug on whenever you get the urge to read spoilers/episode reviews/do anything else that could be considered obsessive. Ooh, if it's hebrew I can tell you what it says. Any chance you can link to the HD photo? you saw the resolution my caps come in... impossible to see anything.

I guess it's just another 'long story'. LOL!!! That actually made me laugh hard. I swear to god if Carter says that line again when he's asked something about his time in Africa or his health or whatever he had for breakfast in the final episode, I'm gonna scream! Lol! I will end up really bruised! I meant from the Librarian. I think it's not enough of a close up on ER. And it's not extra great quality, but you can give it a try:

Hmmm, I can't really see from that closeup, but it doesn't look like hebrew. I'll try to get a better look at it when I watch The Librarian tonight (!!!). I just lost all hope of getting any work done today, anyway. But I'm sure the professor would understand that I couldn't do any of my projects because all I could think about was Noah and ER... I'm sure he's a fan.

I'm starting to like this episode . I would need to check back all, but I think Carter/Benton were used as the only comic relief throughout the episode, and I really like that idea, even if Carter's situation wasn't exactly funny. It was really like in good Old Times... I was disappointed when watching it first that there weren't more emotional moments for Carter, but actually, his funny moments can make up for that. ;D And the last emotional scene was extremely powerful! Carter's whining was hilarious. "Can someone please cover my crotch?" Loved it! Carter's face when the first doctor shook his hand and left briskly, his face when he stops just in time before drinking when the surgeon yells at him "put that down!". His socks... Benton and his checklist, Carter's wink... That was actually all really good! ;D I noticed the team of surgeons following Kurteg?? (no idea for the spelling). There's one guy making a sign at another several times to go do something Kurteg asked for, really as if that poor guy is everybody's slave (go get ice chips, go get an x-ray... ) And that guy is the one asking Benton for his checklist ;D!! Maybe next he'll ask to change specialty and will want to work with Benton.

I saw that too. It was funny.
Next week is Abby and Neela but I don't think that they'll be as good as this week's episode.
I still say that Carter and Kem are finished. Teh way things are so far: kem is the bad guy and carter is the good guy. Why would I want to see carter with kem at this point?

I really don't see why she's the bad guy. She din't know Carter needed a transplant, so I can't blame her. Really.

She just knows he had medical issues which could mean everything. And knowing Carter I'm sure he acted like he had bronchitis.

But she did know he was sick and didn't bother to be by his side. She's useless. Her mom is sick and lives miles away from Carter. If Carter told her he was just having some 'health issues' without making it sound like it was bad, and her mom is dying, she doesn't have much choice. Wouldn't she be a horrible daughter to let her mom die alone?

On a random note...TNT reran the pilot yesterday, and it was really weird cause I watched this brand new episode and then the pilot right after...what a difference!

Hehe, I noticed they kept having the guy fetch stuff. it was a cute nuance that you don't really spot right away, that's what subsequent viewings are for. But I DIDN'T notice that it was him asking for the checklist at the end... Yaaaay, that makes it even funnier. In true spirit of bringing back the old ER, the team of students/interns following the a$$hole doctor reminded me so much of season 1 Benton (especially in the pilot) that it just had to be intentional on the writer's part.
I'm going to want to watch this episode a few more times. *nods*

I think everyone has said it all. I loved the lighter note with Carter and Benton. It really was like "old times", but you could also sense the nervous, serious undertone. Both actors were good enough and subtle enough to show you that for all the banter they were anxious and embarrassed and a whole load of other stuff. Those scenes made me laugh and moved me at the same time, a really hard thing to do.
On the tattoo , I seem to remember scenes with Carter and Kem where they didn't hide the (smaller?) tattoo. I think they just accept as part of the story that he has them. It's not the same as continuiity mistakes when they once had Carter walking with Wendell ( remember her?) and Noah still had his wedding ring on.
I dopn't have a problem with Carter not telling Kem ubntil he knows that the op worked. It is consistent with his character.
I'm even coming round to the "some doctor" comment from Doug. I think you've almost convinced me.
Wonderful, wonderful epi ;D ;D ;D
