Thanks! ;D I love that picture too! Hello Steven!!! there's a great actor on your left, any job for him? Noah is wearing that same suit on the Today Show today... Quite random: the french channel France 2 that used to air ER ("Urgences") and stopped for season 14 just announced that they were buying season 15. Clooney effect... And since many actors seem to say the finale will have a lot to do with the pilot, I'm rewatching the pilot right now. I think we were wondering a bit ago who was talking first on the pilot, and it's Lydia, not Greene. Greene is just snoring first . And Ross first calls Mark "Marky Boy!". I wonder if Gates' "Johnny Boy" for Carter had to do with that .

Wow. That's a news Gates Foundation Paying For Programming On ER, Viacom (VIA)Eric Krangel|Apr. 2, 2009, 12:51 PM| PrintTags: Media, TV, Bill Gates, Big Tech, Microsoft, Viacom, NBC VIA Apr 2 2009, 12:36 PM EDT 20.86 Change % Change +1.35 +6.92% Quietly, Microsoft (MSFT) chairman and world's richest man Bill Gates has been deciding what's on some TV shows. But it's all in the name of charity. The New York Times carries a report that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation "helped develop the script" for a recent episode of ER, featuring the return of Hollywood A-lister George Clooney. In exchange for an undisclosed amount of money from the Gates Foundation, ER's producers agreed to make one the shows plotlines center on a kidney transplant for Noah Wyle's character, Dr. Carter. Promoting organ donation is one of the Gates Foundation's causes. But it doesn't end there: Last week Bill met with Viacom (VIA) CEO Phillipe Dauman, and the pair together came up with something called "Get Schooled." As part of the deal, "all Viacom networks" (which includes MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, BET, and others) will weave pro-education messages into their shows. The NYT points out charity-sponsored money-for-media plays aren't entirely new, but adds: James Steyer, chief executive of Common Sense Media, which promotes family-oriented entertainment, said foundations typically seek to mold television programs with just advice and prodding. “The difference here is the Gates Foundation is paying for this, that they are actually willing to pay for programming,” Mr. Steyer said. Just another symptom of the troubles afflicting media companies. Back when Viacom and NBCU had a working business models, we can't imagine the Gates Foundation (or anyone) being able to dictate that Noah Wyle get a kidney transplant. But these days, you get revenue anywhere you can find it. www.businessinsider.com/bill-gates-tv-2009-4

Good catch, claired80 ! I think it's one of the things they were talking about, that you have to watch the episode several time to catch all the small references. Now, if only I had the pilot episode... How am I going to scrutinize, examine and overthink every single nuance of the finale if I don't have anything to compare it to?

I saw that the DVD of season 15 seems to be out in UK, and read that it had as extras deleted scenes, gag reels, and behind the scenes stuff. I'll try to get my hands on it at a point, for the extras of course, but I have the feeling that I'll be disappointed . What are the chances that we already saw all the BTS stuff with Noah? Quite high I guess.... Did they delete scenes with him? I can't really imagine what/where... But one can only hope! And I don't like so much the idea to have the answer to those questions... I feel like I always had some hopes that more of "this and that" on ER that I was waiting for could be shown at a point in the end, some questions addressed... and now that will be it for good... *sigh*

I know what you mean. I'd love to think there's still something that we haven't seen... it just all seems so final and so pointless. And to be honest, as much as I used to love this show, I only watched the last few episodes for Noah. The DVD will probably focus on the actual cast members of season 15, not on someone who, by that point, is a guest star. I know why that makes sense, but at the same time, this being our last hope for anything new regarding Carter and ER... if there's nothing new on the blooper reel, no deleted scenes with Noah... if all those unanswered questions are all we'll ever have... I'll just be so disappointed. I'm preparing myself for that.
I caught a rerun of an old season 5 episode on TV today and hearing the theme song as the ending credits were rolling made me cry. Not because I miss ER so much, but because I feel cheated out of that closure, that peace of mind that comes from knowing how everything ends and being okay with it.

Yes, I did see that the series 15 DVD has just come out here - we always got the DVD's from about season 6 early in the UK for some reason- but I decided not to buy it because most of it isn't with Noah and I will never watch most of it as I wasn't interested in most of the newer characters.
I'm not sure if it's worth getting it on the off chance that there might be a few more minutes , or seconds, more likely, of Noah that hasn't been on all the other end of ER stuff already out there.
That said, I'm curious, to hear what anyone who does buy it discovers.

I can see what you mean... I still didn't get myself to rewatch 15.22... Yeah, I think I'll wait and get informed first... See if some new vids come up on Youtube... But my hopes are really not high that there's a treasure in the DVD box
