THIS is the Hat of Doom. (any other picture with any other hat works just as well. You'll find plenty of examples in the picture thread. Enough to justify the following smiley- )

Or he knows how much we hate that hat and is determined to torture us! And I'm really clueless about fashion, really, but if he wants to draw attention away from a receding hairline, the hat is exactly the wrong thing to wear. No arguments there. No, but I assume he's got nephews, nieces?

Awww! How have I not seen these pictures before?! ;D I suggest you post that comment again in the General section, since this is kind of the wrong thread for posting Noah-related pictures (discussion got away from ER and into Beard of Doom very quickly), but thanks for the pics, anyway. Aaron is his brother so I guess that's his nephew... Luke... awww. Adorable.
(is it just me or does it feel wrong to anyone else, to see pictures from a private family baptism ceremony? I sort of feel we shouldn't be seeing this. The internet is weird... Nothing's safe really, is it. :/)

LOL Well you could be right about the torturing...I think he fully well knows that women are drooling over him, so he might just try and sabotage that with the hats. Ah yes, the Johnny Depp tactic. We've been discussing it over on the IMDb board. JD - like Noah - dresses down during his time off, though he takes it to another level - oddly layered clothing, fedora hats, glasses, unkempt hair etc. I've wondered myself if Noah's off-duty wardrobe is his way of keeping the rabid fangirls at bay. See, i'm glad I finally joined the board, now I can talk about this with other fans/supporters rather than just keeping it in my head. I agree it does kind of feel wrong to see those pics, but they did make it public, found another kind of webblog or website it was posted too. I figure if they really wanted to keep it private they had made the album password protected. And who knows maybe they figure that no matter what those pics will get public anyway, think they might be pretty used to Noah's popularity among the female fans by now. I found that baptism photo album a couple of years ago and felt quite awkward about viewing images of such a private family event. Maybe the account holder lost their password and can't change the privacy settings on the album. Even if they're used to the attention that Noah receives, aren't they concerned about the privacy of the rest of the family and the other attendees? I don't want to sound overly critical but i've copped a bit of abuse in the past for posting images of people who didn't want their pictures on the internet, so some people are still genuinely concerned about such matters.

Yeah, sort of. I have to admit I'm not a big fan of the Carter/Abby saga, but season 7 was actually still nice, and I kinda liked their dynamic back then. I feel differently about "Carby" through season 8 and 9, though, but I don't want to force my negativity onto anyone else... just watch and judge for yourself.

... Personally I tend to agree with you there, but I also think that thanks to the problematic writing of the later seasons, it's a little more complicated than a lack of chemistry. More like... a lack of coherence. Noah and Thandie Newton (who plays Kem) have some amazing chemistry in some moments and then others just have never worked for me. I don't know where to point the finger. I'm not crazy about her as an actress and something about either the writing or the execution of Kem doesn't work for me.

hello I'm a fan french of the series ER and especially Noah's great in his character ... I look at this forum for a while and learn all these details made me want to sign up but my English is very poor so hopefully that will be understandable! in fact it was a moment that I had not watched the series so I decided to review everything and I told myself how I could "forget" this series and this actor ... I remember that was unwise to disturb me during the broadcast ... I loved season 5 but because of the relationship casing / lucy! I wish they end up together ... well, I have a question and hopefully someone can answer! I read that it is Noah who had refused to allow the relationship to succeed but I do not know his reasons! anyone know? thanks

His reason was, that for carter and lucy to be together that would be breaking the rules, because she was just a medical student and he was a doctor and he was the one that was supose to be in caharge of her and so he could get in big trouble if they contuined with the relatioship, and that carter was one that really didn't break the rules. I hope that answer you question and welcome to the group breizh22

Yeah i have heard Noah interviwed about that relationship, and that is the reason he gives for not wanting it to contuine, cause breaking the rules like that would be out of chactor for carter

I understand where you're going with this... as far as we know, the 'official' reason Noah refused to play along with that script is that it was completely out of character for Carter, as Bev said. I don't know if there was any tension behind the scenes, or any problem between Noah and Kellie Martin, or anything like that. I think I remember reading something that suggested they didn't quite get along, but maybe I just made that up. I can't trust my memory these days. And welcome to the board breizh22! Don't hesitate to ask questions, your English is just fine...!

As far as I know, Noah and Kellie Martin had no problems. After she left ER, she even did plays at Noah's little theater company.
Very honestly, the Lucy storyline was BAD NEWS for Carter. The whole thing was designed to make her the sympathetic student and Carter the jerk teacher. On top of that, Kellie Martin looked very very young and I think there was danger of Carter looking a bit like a child molester if he had a relationship with his student who also happened to look so babyish and act childish as well. I can totally understand him wanting to get rid of that plot.
