Janet, I love your scenario ;D! Do you know what? For me Carter is THE doctor. I loved Mark but I grew up with Carter and I've seen him start like the naive and innocent studend and become a wonderful man and doctor. I don't think I need to know everything about his feelings and about his future because, well, I already know. I know my boy. With or without Kem, with or without a family he'll always be the BOSS and the BEST and everywhere he'll be he'll set the tone. That's a great way to put it! You know what? I'm so glad I joined this board ;D. Without you guys, I'd be alone thinking ER finale really sucked, and reading how other people saw it really helps. It wasn't so bad at all actually. I'll really need to re-watch . The only negative part staying for me is that I was bored quite often while watching... I think they could have made it more about the old cast, a lot less about Gates, and it would have been a lot better...

Oh this post made my day! Can't stopped laughing now. Cosmo and Martini is classic. The 2nd ending is killing me. And I'll kill the writer before I die if he made this come true. (But in this post it's also kind of funny:P) Do you know what? For me Carter is THE doctor. I loved Mark but I grew up with Carter and I've seen him start like the naive and innocent studend and become a wonderful man and doctor. I don't think I need to know everything about his feelings and about his future because, well, I already know. I know my boy. With or without Kem, with or without a family he'll always be the BOSS and the BEST and everywhere he'll be he'll set the tone. I choose the last one with no doubt, but when I saw Raffy’s reply I suddenly realized he won't have a bad ending no matter what. Family IS important to him (just like to noah himself;-) but Carter is the one who loves patients and other people of course including Kem for no reason. He will never feel empty or have any regrets if he keep being himself, keep loving. But he's not god, he's a 40 years old human being who just had a kidney transplant. So somebody love him please, I don't really care who she is now. Stay with him give him a baby make sure he's healthy and happy! Dr. Wise looks great maybe she can change the whole story;P I'm really getting tired of Kem now. How about Kem breaks up with Carter after the lunch. And Carter goes back to work and work and work and the writers can always make anything possible. He and Dr. Wise get together and then Kem realizes how great her ex-husband is. And it's too late...isn't that great? Oh, I forgot I chose the last ending with no doubt...

LOL ;D . Oh my God, why is it always so difficult for "them" to realize it? I've always found this really unrealistic. How many "Carter" do you meet in real life? Probably no one. But If you're lucky enough to find one I don't think you should waste your time on "realizing".

Absolutely! Seriously, what's wrong with all the women who left him or refused him? It doesn't make any sense unless they did this for the next lucky woman to share the most wonderful experience with the greatest man???It's not museum women, stay with him!
(If I were one of them I'll quit my job immediately, do anything he wants and won't stop lol whenever he turns away and smile when he gets back.<--Carter:" You need a psychologist... ")

Spaceyume! I just realized you were posting here ! I felt the name was familiar on youtube when I found your videos, but I didn't realize you were here! ;D Let me tell you: I'm an absolute fan of your vids and your tribute to Carter ;D!!!! I can't thank you enough for doing them (I commented on youtube as bemyguest80). They are so wonderful I really feel like screaming to the world to watch them! As I said in another thread, it feels to me that you know Carter better than John Wells does! ;D ETA: I loved the new one "The cutest guy on Earth" ;D!!!

SpaceyumeLet me tell you: Thank you very very much Claire. I felt the number "80" was familiar too. I'm so glad you enjoyed watching them. That's what it's all about. There are so many Luby fans on youtube that for a long time I felt a little lonely making fan videos for Carter. Not any more ! And I found this board recently. It's so good to know other die-hard Carter fans. It feels like heaven... In my country few people watch ER, no one knows Carter or Noah Wyle. I even forced my friends to watch, swore to god it's amazing but all of them said it's boring...I was so lonely...well not any more until I found you guys

Lol!!! yeah... By far too much Luby in this world . But poor guys (the lubies)... they didn't get much out of the final episodes . And fan videos for Carter have been missing for really long! And I much prefer a few perfect fabulous ones (yours, just to be clear ) to a lot of crappy ones. Ooooh... Big hug!! ETA: Talking about Luby, I think I've been too greedy about the final episodes for ER. Carter is really the only old cast character who got something important in season 15. The characters from middle seasons were nowhere to be heard of. And I feel like they won't stay so memorable on the long term . In the press and blogs, people are talking about the Pilot and Love's Labor's Lost and old stuff, until season 6, and then it's almost like what's been between then and now is easily forgotten (aside from the African episodes), and the finale... And Carter was there for all the memorable parts ;D. In the almost final scene where the full ER is outside waiting for ambulances (btw, I read somewhere that it's the same ambulances as in 1994, not the ones they had more recently.. I didn't spot that...), it's only the new cast, and Carter. And he gets to say the last important line. How cool is that? We picked up the good guy to be fan of over ER history .

*joins the massive adoration of spaceyume's videos* they're really incredibly good! ;D I didn't realize you were on the board, either. Yay for ER and Noah fans... so hard to find them these days!
Well put. All I wanted from the finale was to get the sense that Carter is going to be okay, finally, you know? And if we try really hard, it's possible to see it as a happy ending. After all he's presumbaly recovering from the transplant nicely, and he's got the center to invest his time and energy in and he's obviously not going to give up medicine, and who knows, maybe he'll work it out with Kem. I'd prefer something definite, but we're lucky that they didn't just kill him off in Africa or something *cough*Romano*cough*
Hell, even in the days of Anthony Edwards and George Clooney, it's always been about Noah for me. I think it's just that combination of an extremely likeable character and Noah's amazing personality that made my, erm, obsession, so life-changing. I mean, I've liked other shows and other actors, but no one has ever influenced me like Noah did on ER (and in many other aspects, too). So yeah, Carter-- and in a much more real way, Noah- got the respect he deserves. it's only fair.

Thank you so much Anna. You reminded me, Claire. OMG I was so greedy. He's the one who has been called "legend" by another Character.(well, Morris, my only favorite one among all the new characters.) And he's the one who can shut everybody up and they still like/respect him.(Anspaugh, Weaver, Romano, you name it.)And he's the one who said the last line and was going to teach Rachel. Wo-Ho! And just as Anna said no one can make John Carter so likable and life-changing but Noah Wyle. I don't believe there IS such a wonderful man on earth until I saw Carter and got to know Noah's personality...Dam*it, my English isn't good enough to explain the beauty of his spirit and how lovely he is. (But I'm sure everybody here 100% got it.) Although he (and Carter as well) is absolutely a mature man now but it feels to me that there's always a little boy living in his soul, you know. Whenever I saw the picture of Noah and his children I felt cleaner. lol This man is a fairy tale, definitely a fairy tale.
