Wow. I don't remember the last time I cried like that. Seriously, the last few days have made me so incredibly depressed- it's the fact that ER's over for good that's sinking in, and now this, just... wow. What a great job putting together those videos- can you imagine the effort it took? I'm speechless. (actually I do have a question: anyone know where that last piece of dialogue was from? "do you see yourself in the ER 15 years from now?" I can't place that.)

Me neither! I absolutely can't remember that.. how fitting was that? Apparently the writers/directors didn't remember it either. Let fans do the job of retrospective! Whoever that person who made the videos is, he/she knows Carter much better than Wells does...

No kidding! I was watching some of the scenes and thinking "man, it all comes together so nicely... why couldn't they do that on the show?!" I love the first video where you see Carter pull up at the ambulance bay--- when I was watching it, it never occured to me to wonder what scenes might be going through his head. And again, I'm crying writing about it. d**n hormones. I don't remember that dialogue from Ambush, Raffy. I have no idea where it might be from. It couldn't BE from the first seasons because they're asking him about the ER, but it sounded like young!Carter. If it is from season one, that makes it even more powerful and appropriate. I'm going to just ask the person who made these...

Do you have an idea whose female voice it is asking him? Could sound like Chen... but not really... any other possibility? The person having made the video is in China, so with time zones we may not have an answer before a bit of time and it's driving me nuts... ;D (and I'd like to find out by "ourself" somehow... no idea why... ) Carter does sound young, but I think he can sound like that at some point still around seasons 6 or 7...

and I'm 100% cool with that. ;D I've long since accepted my obsession with ER and Carter.
I thought of Chen immediately but when I listened to it again, it doesn't sound exactly like her. if it's Chen, could it be from the episode where she quits after the guide-wire incident and Carter tries to talk her into staying? That'd be season 1, House of Cards. Anyone with a DVD volunteer to check it out? I literally won't be able to sleep until I find out the answer!
Of course it doesn't have to be a regular character....
ETA: is it sad that I could come up with the name of the episode without checking any listings? What am I going to do with all this useless knowlege in my head now that ER is done? *sigh*

And the question is, if my ears are okay: "you see yourself still in ER 15 years from now?". Shouldn't it be "in the ER" ? (my english is sloppy... ) if talking about him working in the ER. "in ER" only could sound like talking about the show . My point is, couldn't it be from an interview and not Carter? Though it does sound like Carter and not Noah , if that makes sense... Or I guess "in ER" can also mean "in emergency medicine practice"... It would make sense that it's Chen in season1, but she does sound a bit old. And I don't have season 1 on DVD here...

I remember!!!! Season 4...probably. Benton and Carter teaching students in classes and one of them asked Carter ""you see yourself still in ER 15 years from now?"

Hmmph, this is becoming quite the riddle! ;D
That DOES make sense, actually. The woman sounds like an interviewer, and now that you mention it, she does say "ER" and not "the ER". Odd! It sounds distinctly like early seasons Carter... or a very young Noah. maybe it's a reeeeeally old interview, and you know, I don't remember ever seeing an interview of Noah from the first seasons.
