Yep, I know it's the infamous movie where Noah and Tracy met. But that's not why I'm starting a thread about it. I just thought it's time this movie gets it's own thread too. I recently watched it (finally!) and thanx to you guys got some explination on what the story of this difficult family is supposed to be about. And after watching it again I'm slowly beginning to like it more and more. My fault in the first place was that I went in with too high expectation. I thought there were going to be any big conclusions, solutions or whatever, that didn't came around in the end. I tend to expect too much from most movies. But it's still a good movie and worth watching. I'd like to take the opportunity though to vent a little about a technical detail of the DVD version (which I got last weekend) that really annoys me: I can't believe it, they actually cropped the picture on the DVD release! I normally have nothing against Widescreen. It's fine by me as long as it's more picture not LESS!!!! I'll certainly have to get the VHS (with uncropped picture) now! Here's what I'm talking about: VHS: ---------------- DVD:

Well that just sucks! Sometimes there's a way to change the display aspect from widescreen to 4:3... I don't know if it depends on the DVD player or the DVD itself. Usually if you watch on the computer, programs like VLC player allow you to choose the aspect ratio. But if they actually cropped the picture, that's just evil. I have it on VHS... somewhere. Wish I still had a VCR so I could watch it. If I had any idea how to make copies from a VHS tape I'd send you one!

That movie deserves a thread. Even if it's not perfect it is one of my favourite Noah's movies.

... But if they actually cropped the picture, that's just evil. Yes, they really did, no way to change the aspect ratio. And it reeeally sucks! Aaww, Anna you don't have to. I am going to get it myself soon. That movie deserves a thread. Even if it's not perfect it is one of my favourite Noah's movies. TRUE!

I just ordered the dvd on Amazon, I can't wait to get it. I'm surprised it's not available to watch online, almost everything is.

I like the movie a lot! It's not perfect, but it has some really nice scenes, and Noah is perfect in it (and looking very very good : . I hope you enjoy it! ;D
