Yeah,on this board, obviously you'll get a unanimous "NOAH" answer... Although I *could* see some resemblance to George, especially in Steve's latter years. And obviously George is a bigger name, much better for publicity and all. I don't have much hope that the part will go to Noah, but I find all this buzz a very good thing, even if nothing comes out of it in the end.

Apparently it's not just on this board ;D Since every single poll and every single tweet about it is pro NOah. I think it's possible they're testing people's opinions. I'm sure even Sony care about APPLE fans' opinions and they love Noah. It doesn't mean they'll cast him but I think it's not so unlikely like we thought. Anyway, I agree that the buzz is already a good thing for Noah

Anyway, I agree that the buzz is already a good thing for Noah I agree... it's not so unlikely! I really don't want to get my hopes up, but if the Sony Pictures people are taking the pulse on the internet, Noah is way ahead of any other actor. This site has a quite long list of who they could imagine: www.cultofmac.com/122496/who-should-play-steve-jobs-in-the-upcoming-hollywood-biopic-gallery/There are many comments there, and I went through them quite quickly: they are quite shared, but Noah's name comes back the most often. Among them: "It's all in the nose, and Wyle is the clear winner in that department. "Really, if they want to go with the least work for the make-up department, Noah is the winner. And a fake nose never looks good . As somebody mentions there, all you need to do on Noah is thin and grey his hair. Some people here and there are arguing that Noah is not a big enough name, but even though studios want the big names, I think they still put realism first when it comes to biopics. And a too big name is distracting... You want the audience to forget fast who they are actually watching. If they get a big name that doesn't look like Jobs and needs heavy make-up, I can imagine very harsh critics, and studios know that...

Of course some sites propose to vote . This one on CNN/Fortune has right now 80% Noah, 12% Clooney and 8% someone else . For whatever reason this rumor was started and if ever it was to check who people want to see as Jobs, well... the answer is pretty clear. ;D Now that's probably not enough, but it's a (big) advantage. ETA: another vote www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2396678,00.asp#frameId=twpw_if&height=630&r=1 and one very true sentence in the article: ETAbis: this is getting crazy. I thought all the twitters and articles would quiet down after one or two days, but it's just getting more and more! In Zimbio now: www.zimbio.com/Noah+Wyle/articles/f05bdGtQYW3/George+Clooney+Noah+Wyle+competing+role+SteveNow what I'm wondering (aka annoyed with) is if all the polls are putting Noah well in front, how come most articles have a title like "Clooney likely to play Jobs" I know all those internet articles are here just so that you click on them and go see their commercials, and they probably suppose "Clooney" triggers more clicks than "Wylie" or "Wiley", but still... not fair...

Apparently, this is not a April fool's joke... www.variety.com/article/VR1118052143Ashton Kutcher ... Very amusing to see all the tweets and comments wondering if it's a joke or not... and to see Noah's name popping up again everywhere. This project seems to have fail written all over it if this isn't a joke (à la "John Carter"). Mediocre director, they didn't take Aaron Sorkin as the writer while he stated that he was interested... And they want to go all over Jobs' life from his hippie days? Come on guys, this was already done... and POSV was already rushed and too short to present half the life of Jobs... (Okay, Kutcher was good as a LSD stoned guy in "Bobby"... But there's more to Jobs than that. ) No way a movie can be good if they want to cover all of Jobs' life in 2 hours. IMO they should focus only on Apple since around 2000. Okay, if they want to do a remake of POSV, I totally see why they wouldn't want Noah... and I sure don't want to see a remake of POSV. ETA: Wait, there's something I'm not sure I get... They are talking about an indie movie here, while Sony bought the rights for using the authorized biography that came out last October. Is this another project now? Don't tell me they'll be two upcoming movies about Jobs... ETAbis: This article www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/two-and-half-men-ashton-kutcher-steve-jobs-biopic-306666 now mentions that Sony will produce another movie... (which at least means that Sony doesn't want Ashton Kutcher)

The one Ashton is starring in is some indie movie. The big Sony movie based on the book has not be cast yet. However, I don't think Noah will get it for the simple reason that I have never really heard someone getting to play the same role twice. I would love to be wrong but I just don't see it happening.
Noah has a strong resemblance to Jobs though in their whole look. But there are others that are sort of lookalikes to Noah - guys like Brekin Meyer, Keanu Reeves, etc. The right kind of make-up would be enough to transform them into Jobs.
