Ah ;D! here it is : www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VMnw7GpHmIIt's short, doesn't tell much... ETA: but it looks like Carter while falling makes a tray fall at the same time, or it's just my imagination? He looks conscious. But his face turned like that, on the floor, it strongly reminds me of Be Still My Heart.

As I said on LJ, big thanks for that one! A lot more exciting than the short version, showing it should be quite a bit about Carter.
It's driving me completely insane to try to find an explanation of why Carter wanted to meet Banfield!!!! Since the promo makes it sound like it can have to do with the "painful secret" revealed, which I guess is that Carter is in renal failure, an explanation could be that Carter knows she can help for a transplant, maybe someone in her family or herself has good blood and HLA type for him. But that would be really too far-fetched. How on earth could he know that? I really don't see an explanation... In this week episode he told her "I've heard a bit about you". When? from who? what is interesting in her for him? I want to know!!!

I couldn't find it anywhere but that's a decription of the canadian promo.
The CTV preview was Carter 'a legend in the ER', Banfield acting surprised he wanted a trauma cause she thought he'd be lying low his first day... asking Gates how Carter's doing and Gates mumbling something about okay, a little rusty.... big trauma scene with Gates shocked asking Carter if he's really going to do an ex-lap, Banfield barks no, Carter says 10 blade, looks like a fun scene...another creepy VO about hiding a secret, close up of blood on the arm of his sweater from the dialysis shunt, Banfield looking suspicious.

That's could be the last word about Carter's destiny!
EXCLUSIVE: 'ER' Finale Ad Spots Fetching $425,000 NBC waves goodbye to Thursday night stalwart By Claire Atkinson -- Broadcasting & Cable, 2/20/2009 11:44:17 AM MT NBC is out shopping the finale of the fifteen-year-old hospital drama series, ER, and is asking $425,000 for a thirty-second spot during the television event.
The last episode airs on April 2 and will feature a get together of former cast members including George Clooney, Noah Wyle and Anthony Edwards. The two-hour episode begins at 9 p.m. and will be preceded by a one-hour retrospective of the series.
According to TNS Media Intelligence which tracks rate card ad pricing, thirty-second spots in this season's show were selling for $135,000. Each broadcast of ER nets NBC $2,878,000. Media buyers say the show is selling for between $425,000 and $500,000.
The network is replacing ER the following week with another John Wells production, Southland, which focuses on the lives of the men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department. For much of the nineties ER and Friends represented an unbeatable Thursday night line up for NBC.
The ER finale is the first big, broadcast network show send-off in some time. CBS waved goodbye to Everybody Loves Raymond, in 2005 and charged $1.3 million for a thirty-second spot in that event. In 2004, NBC sent Friends off air with a nice payday charging advertisers $2.3 million for a thirty-second spot.

Are we sure this is a good sign? I'm afraid of what they could do to him...

I think it's a good sign because in his fourth episode he's waiting for the transplant and that fact that he dosen't apear in this one lets me hope he got the new kidney and now he's recovering from the surgery.... I refuse to think he's in coma and he's going to die in the finale, especially because it has been reported that he will be in the finale.....and I don't think being in the finale means just being coffined

I also think it would be too cruel (and miserable!) for the fans ending this way!

Latest from Korby (who obviously doesn't have a clue about spoilers ) ER Questions. Please help me! Is Carter going to die? -Francis I can't answer that, come on! What is going on with my dear sweet Carter on ER?! I freaked out when I saw him hooked up to that thing. Thank God my sister told me it was just a dialysis machine. Does this mean he has kidney failure? -Katie This does not mean he has kidney failure. And I'm sorry to break the bad news, but that was not necessarily a dialysis machine. There are a couple other possibilities that would explain what we saw in Thursday's final scene, both are much more serious

Ask TV Gal
Okay ER listen up. You know that "ain’t ER grand" high I’ve been on the past couple of weeks? That all comes to a crashing end if you hurt just one little hair on Dr. Carter’s head. I know the show has a penchant for killing off those who have worked in County General but they simply cannot do that to Dr. Carter. They cannot. I hate when shows end with a beloved character dying. If something happens to Dr. Carter, you will find me rocking in a corner clutching my TiVo. Also if someone could please explain to Neela that she belongs with Ray I would greatly appreciate it. Noah Wyle’s guest appearance continues this week (Thursday, NBC, 10 p.m.).

Oooookay, Korby does not seem to have a clue. I'm not a doctor, so maybe someone can tell me reasons for someone to go to a dialysis center if they don't have renal failure... And it was a dialysis machine for sure! I really hope that I'm not over optimistic, but I really think they can't kill Carter! They are aware that they would get tons of critics like that! They already killed Mark Greene off and had a funeral scene gathering a bit of the old cast. That would be just jumping the sharks to do that again, a too easy way out, very lame and poor. ETA: Korby apparently did some searching a bit and corrected his mistake ;-) blog.zap2it.com/korbitv/2009/02/you-ask-i-answer-ers-carter-needs-a-kidney-transplant-plus-secret-life-90210.html
