The best part of that news is that everyone is complaying that they want Noah....
I agree
I agree. But I don't think people think Noah was good just because of his look.

I'm quite torn about it all The likelihood that Noah is cast twice as Jobs is very small... But, as Raffy said, the best part are all the reactions saying "WTF? Why not Noah?". It's not only us, it's more than 100 twitters since last night and dozens of comments in the related articles. Sony can't be totally ignoring this, nor the fact that Jobs himself praised Noah portraying him. But yeah, would be awkward to reprise the same role... And the fact that there are now 2 movies planned make the full thing look like a joke Last year in France two remakes of a classic movie from 1962 (La guerre des boutons) were made, because the script became public domain, and both movies quite failed. The whole feeling was "the 1962 movie was good, why a remake? oh wait, why two remakes?" and it all seemed quite ridiculous. I sort of have the same feeling now about Jobs biopic(s).

I think the buzz around Noah NOT playing Jobs is actually better than if he had got the role, honestly. This way, regardless of how well the movie does, Noah gets plenty of attention and praise, and he doesn't have to do a d**n thing. With FS and all, I'd say he's got enough on his plate. Starring in ANOTHER movie as Steve Jobs, I dunno, it seems like a risky move.

Yes I also agree. It's a great pub! And it's cool to know that other people were for him, other than his fans ... I would have been happy to see at cinema in a main role ... but hey! True, he said he had founda balance with FS, compared to ER, he can see more of her children ... Hope he has a plan to soon for the cinema. To make us wait, FS in June ;D

He has other projects in store and he has a family. I'm totally satisfied with everything he's doing with his career right now. And like Anna said the buzz around Noah not playing Jobs is everything he needs. He doesn't need the part.

Starring in ANOTHER movie as Steve Jobs, I dunno, it seems like a risky move. I totally see what you mean with a risky move, but if the Sony picture has a good script, I'd say it's a risk to take (IF ever it's proposed to him). And all the buzz is amusing, but it starts 'annoying' me a bit since everybody seems to assume the movie with Ashton Kutcher is THE movie that was talked about before, while it's not. It's not a done deal that Noah won't get THE part. I don't mean that the likelihood that he gets the part in the "real" movie is very high, but the whole buzz is not about the actual fact. I don't like to read things like "Sorry, Noah Wyle", or "That's a slap in the face for Noah Wyle" (seen on twitter), or even all the "Should have been Noah!!", because as of now, we don't know... It's just another indie project nobody was expecting. And yeah, Noah doesn't need the part. But he doesn't need any part at all... Easy to bet he has enough money to retire peacefully whenever he wants. And he's done enough, and has shown more than once that he brings viewers on TV. So a couple of fails wouldn't hurt. And I really want to see him on the big screen, or even TV actually, but exploring a bit more material than series with one recurring character. Series is great as it brings many episodes, but I miss seeing Noah using more of his talent, exploring more characters, changing styles... He's been mainly only 3 characters over the last 10 years (or little supporting roles... ) I can't help but think it's a bit of waste... I totally understand that he wants a lot of time with his family, and maybe doesn't want to work more than he does, but frankly, he's not the easiest guy to be a fan of these past years. I just miss seeing him more often

It is my feeling also, what I was trying to say. I would really like to see him in a role on the big screen, more than he did, a main role, paying my place to go see ... yeah I know it's been the girl of 15 years but this is an actor that I love, one of the few that I really followed. Maybe because he is discreet which makes me want to learn more, contradictory spirit!! Noooo for more than that, it's a great actor ;D Wow I never thought like that but it's true. I think when he played in ER, it suited me

We've already seen him as Jobs, that wouldn't exactly be something new. But yeah, I see what you mean. I'm sure he's not lacking in offers, so if he chooses not to take lead roles on the big screen, there's probably a good reason for it. As for changing characters and experimenting with different styles, I suppose that's what the theater is for. It lets him get 'that' out of his system, while not committing him to the exhausting schedule of a movie-shoot and basically allowing him to do it on his own terms. I can totally see how he'd be satisfied with that. The only problem with that is that we don't get to see it. Which really is a shame. As you said, not the easiest for fans. How I'd love to go to the cinema to watch a 'Noah' movie (with more than 10 minutes total of screen time)...

Looks like Noah thinks like you, Anna , according to his rep at least... www.thedaily.com/page/2012/04/04/040412-gossip-briefs-1-2/(I could imagine his rep was contacted after all the buzz. I'd like to know though if that's really what Noah told him to say... since Noah said a bit ago that he would "give his eye teeth" to play Jobs again But as we say in french, only stupid people never change their minds... )

Well, I think like Anna too. And maybe Noah just changed mind about it or maybe Sony is just too dumb to consider him for the role...

I wish Noah would do more work too. I'm okay with supporting roles as well as long as they're substantial and interesting, not the pointless cameos he seems to do. To be honest, I no longer really understand the family excuse either considering Noah is divorced and the kids must stay with Tracy at least half the time. So what is Noah doing on those days? Just sitting at home by himself doing nothing? Okay.
I don't know if he really even has the drive to act anymore. He doesn't do much stage work either so I wouldn't say he's using his skills there. He does an occasional one day reading or something every 6 months. That's hardly considered anything. Actually doing is play is like doing Broadway or off-Broadway and doing engagements there for a couple of months.

Thanks for all the beautiful wallpapers. You are really talented. I happened to watch 'Pirates Of Silicon Valley', 'The Myth of Fingerprints' and 'An American Affair' last night. Yes, Noah was at my place until 1:30 AM. ;D
