Suuuuuuure, that'll keep the teenagers happy. *raises eyebrow and waits for more news* And why is Noah listed as "rumored"? *is really pissed off now*

Right now they've casted only "civilian" characters and as for age it seems that they're building up a mixed cast....I expect to see even old men and women As for the new character...is he Tom Mason's other son? Because the actor is 23 old (even if I can easily picture him playing a younger character) and I'm not sure if I can buy Noah as father of a 23 old boy Maybe Tom Mason was a teen father.... Right! It's pissing me off too!

Most likely. I can definitely see him playing a teenager. That "rumored" thing is really making me uncomfortable.

I'm really not so impressed me too Hmm, seems like they are ticking the boxes. If he is playing NW's teenage son, I'm reminded of War of the Worlds scenario . . . I didn't like that film. Love the name Tom Mason though. Unremarkable name for a remarkable man. ;D

If they need a large cast I think they have to tick the box anyway but I don't think it means they have to cast mediocre actors Anywat it's a pilot and usually it happens that someone is "fired" ....let's see if he can do better with a better script. So true

So true After posting I realised that it is also like John Carter. Old traditional first name and family surname derived from an occupational trade. And we know that worked out pretty well.

Yeah, single dad with a rebel teenager and a much younger sweet son/daughter... I don't like that scenario either (mainly because it feels just like a rip-off of War of the Worlds). I can easily imagine Drew Roy playing someone younger than his age (and as for the acting, I don't know him but the little videos don't seem bad to me at all, just bad scripts and quite bad acting around him... ), so him playing Tom's son would be my first bet . There's one thing bothering me with the casting so far (but I guess that's usual for series and Hollywood...): did the aliens consciensously decide to spare only people looking unusually handsome?

People looking handsome and young! I think the post-apocalyptic scenario is going to mitigate this thing becaue if they want to be "realistic" I don't think they'll dress up and make up them like models
