At least that means they are working on the casting...  so quite a bit of the script must be written that they know what characters they are looking for. |

I like how these two persons auditioning refer to the pilot as "pilot with Noah Wyle", and not a lot less exciting: "Steven Spielberg production" . |

The kid has a slight resemblance to Noah, IMO. He could very well be playing the dad.

TNT firms cast for Spielberg pilotMoon Bloodgood, Jessy Schram among actors By Nellie Andreeva July 26, 2009, 11:00 PM ET Moon Bloodgood, Jessy Schram, Seychelle Gabriel and Maxim Knight have joined Noah Wyle on TNT's untitled alien invasion pilot from executive producer Steven Spielberg. The project, written by Robert Rodat from an idea he conceived with Spielberg, is set shortly after aliens have wiped out most of the human population and centers on a ragtag group of soldiers and civilians led by widower Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) who struggle against the occupying alien force. In the pilot, directed by Carl Franklin, Bloodgood, Schram, Gabriel and Knight all play members of the group. Bloodgood will play Anne Glass, a therapist working with the children to help them with the trauma of the alien invasion. With her strength and dry sense of humor, Anne, whose husband died during the invasion, becomes a bedrock of the survivors' community and Tom's confidant.Knight will play Tom's youngest son who is still dealing with the terror of the alien invasion. Schram will play Karen, an athletic tomboy who works as a motorcycle scout. Gabriel ("Weeds") will play Lourdes, a pretty teenager who has lost family and helps run the camp's makeshift commissary. ICM-repped Bloodgood, who recurs on "Burn Notice," co-starred on "Terminator: Salvation" and "Journeyman." Oh, finally!!! Thank you, Nia It sounds good. But besides Noah's character are there other male characters? Because right now he's sorrounded by good looking women  Besides Jessy Schram I don't know those acrtesses. Let's hope they're good. It's not clear if his character lost his wife because of the invasion or he was already a widower...but I look forward to see Noah playing a dad in those circumstances I can already picture what this could mean.... |

I had to be away last week and I was really hoping to get some new news when back, and here it is ;D!!! Thank you Nia! I like the widower daddy status , and I quite like the name Tom Mason... So far so good!  ...meaning he has other older kids? alive or not? And I don't know what age Matt Mason will be, but the actor is 10, and if there are/were older kids, we can guess that Noah's character will be a quite 'mature' and family man, not someone for who the daddy thing is a new thing. |
