Hey! I knew there was something about the code that we didn't get!! Click on the 2nmass website, on the I think you have to scan it because the jpg file is named "scan me"!!!!

I think they just mean to scan it with a cell phone, in order to decode the QR code... that's usually the way it's done. How can you scan something that's already a .jpg image? Print it out and scan it? it doesn't make any sense, 2ndmass people!!! I even tried checking the EXIF to see if there's anything hidden in the file properties or something... nothing. Right now I'm pretty sure they're counting down to the beginning of comic-con in general. and that the "lucky humans" there will get to see either a preview airing of the pilot or a really cool trailer.

You need a QR barcode scanner to install on you cell phone or on your palmar. There are some cell phones that already have it pre-installed.

I know, but the people who scanned the image using their phones reported that it only says "2ndmass.com"

I don't think they scanned the "original" QR code. But the one at the end of the videoclip....

Okay, I have no idea what this is all about, what's a viral site, and saw QR codes before but had no idea how it could be used ... But I'll get informed and see what my cell can do (probably not much... ) The 2nd mass site now has latitude/longitude coordinates, pointing to... of course... San Diego Convention Center . ETA: This online QRcode decoder: zxing.org/w/decode.jspx gives the following URL for scanme.jpg: 2ndmass.com/prepare/, that you can check yourself . What the hell do they mean?

Putting the mouse on the G on the main site gives a countdown, something that's -001-00:09:... right now for me... and since the 2ndmass.com/prepare says "when the clock hits zero"... better check this countdown out . Now it's either something in around 9min, or I guess the -001 in front means something (day?). My first wild guess is that the teaser will be online at a certain time . ETA: the countdown will be at zero at a time that's HH:30 for sure.

It's just a marketing scheme. Like when they were promoting the new season of Dexter and they sent out fake "blood bags" to get people's attention. in this case they sent thetvaddict.com a home-made "survivor's" battered tape recording that says 'play me' and contains a clue that leads to the website, without actually saying what show it's promoting. It's supposed to generate curiosity and apparently it's doing just that, and I think it's actually quite a clever thing to do. Note that nobody actually confirmed that it's for Falling Skies. Bless you, Claire, we should give you a detective badge! So... the 001 definitely refers to days. We figured it's counting down to comic-con, since that's where the coordinates lead... But the time doesn't make sense. Anyway, they're preparing us for something that's going to happen when the clock hits zero. It makes sense that it'll be some sort of a teaser or a promo or something... But if it's going to be online, why post the coordinates to comic-con?

Yeah, that definitely narrows it down... ;D That's already been established as the source of the mysterious package, but it's always good to have "official" confirmation. And meanwhile the countdown continues. Ah, the suspense...
