I just found Joseph LoDuca's soundtrack for The Librarian 3: Curse of the Judas Chalice. I'm glad to be able to listen to "Just Can't Help It" whenever I want!

Just saw this video for Elton John's "I want love" (it's not new... ) with Robert Downey Jr. I'm almost pretty sure the set is the "Carters' Mansion"! ;D at least the one that was used in season 10. The hallway looks very familiar and I'm really almost certain this is where you can see Kem sliding while she wears Carter's socks... though I don't have a clip to check right now

Myriam, the track you posted is really beautiful. So calming... I don't listen to a lot of instrumental music, but I have a soft spot for pianos (family of pianists, how could I not) and this is just really beautiful and heart-wrenching. Don't know it from the movie, never seen it, but now I want to hear more like it... I think it's the perfect soundtrack for the background when I'm studying... Do you know any other instrumental songs that might work for that purpose? I need a non-distracting playlist.

As far as I remember from interviews, he's got a thing for jazz. And The Beatles. (or was it Led Zepplin he chose in that interview about the lazer show thing? I forgot). *shrugs* Who knows. I know he's friends with some blues, country and jazz musicians, so, if I had to bet, I'd go for that sort of music. But again- who knows. Maybe he secretly listens to Justin Bieber and Glee covers...

*makes mental note to download the soundtrack for that movie* I can't explain why these are hauntingly beautiful, but they are. I know what you mean, about loving just listening to the piano... I don't play myself, but I grew up surrounded by just that. And when I hear a piano it just brings up memories from my childhood, lazy friday nights when my dad would play Chopin in the living room or improvise some crazy jazz piece... I dunno. To this day when I hear Chopin it's associated with feelings of safety and home and peace... And I think these sound a lot like Chopin's pieces, actually. There's something about music that makes people feel really deeply- it goes straight to the limbic system where your emotions are really raw. And just brings up images and associations that nothing else can. At least, the right kind of music does. When it's done really, really right. Thank you for these, they're absolutely beautiful. I hope you manage to get your own place- WITH a piano (they're ridiculously expensive, aren't they? Our one back home needs a tuning, I think... but nobody's really using it now. I think it'd be too much to send by mail though

Thanks Myriam for the music! Quite amazingly, I didn't even see "Les Intouchables" yet... I knew the music, which is quite used in background on french TV, but I didn't even know it's from this movie! And Yann Tiersen of course! ;D That's local music for us, right?
