Wasn't Noah dating Courtney Cox around season 1? I've never heard anything about those two stories, no gossips and very few pics....and I suppose that Noah and Sherry thing didn't last so much.... He still exists in my dvds, that's for sure and he's the only reason I've watched them so many times I can't stand those people. Really. And I can't stand when they get angry with actors because their "characters" do that or don't do this. I've always thougth that he was talking about the fact that doctors tried to help him in facing the tragedy. Your scenario is realistic but seeing that TPTB never addressed....who knows!

You mean Jennifer Aniston? IIRC, I read that he was dating Samantha Mathis when he started ER (there was a People magazine with a picture of them at the time, I have it somewhere and I think she was mentioned as his 'long time' girlfriend), then Jennifer Aniston and Sherry Stringfield (no idea when though, and I never read anywhere that he confirmed nor denied the relationships... I imagine both were quite short and not extra serious ).

No, it wasn't Jennifer Aniston ;D. I know it's written around the web that he dated Jennifer Aniston bur I remember she officially said that Noah wasn't one of his ex boyfriends but it was just a rumor and on contrary there are pics of Noah and Courtney.... Here you are People's Choice Award 1995.

Wow cool! I can still learn new things about Noah ;D! Thanks for that, and the pic (all new to me )! Actually, not that it's any of my business, but this makes me rather happy. I was never interested in Aniston or Courtney Cox and I can't say that I know them, but in the few interviews that I saw, I always found Jennifer Aniston to be rather shallow and I never could picture her with Noah (even if he was young at the time... )

I'm really glad he met Tracy because I can't picture him with nobody else...and now Anna probably would say nobody besides me! ;D

Really, Raffy, I'm not that posessive... And honestly I'm 100% happy for Noah and Tracy and I'm not even the tiniest bit jealous. I just think that you can never know how a relationship really is unless you're in it. And it's so much more problematic when you're talking about Hollywood because you never know if the picture you're getting is the truth or just really clever PR. so it's really none of my business who Noah chooses to date. But Tracy always comes across as sweet and adorable and, well, perfect for Noah. I never knew that he dated Courtney Cox. I remember reading somewhere that Noah and Jennifer Aniston were a couple, but I never saw any confirmation of that or pictures of them together so I assumed that wasn't true. Awesome... you learn something new every day! ;D

Indeed! And I hate when people judge her just for her look

None of us even have a right to judge her. We don't even know her. Or Noah, really, for that matter. *shrugs* Because you can never know a celebrity's real character, what else but their looks can you judge them by?

Obviously I wasn't talking about us.....we never said anything of bad about Tracy here!! When I say "judging" I mean that there are some people (on other boards : who are really convinced that a handsome man should marry a woman only if she's as cute as him . In this case it's not about "looking" or about "celebrities". It's about crazyness if they think that people should chose their partners just on the basis of "looks". Obviously we don't know Noah or Tracy...they could be two idiots (but I don't think it's the case ) but I can't say they're a good match because their looks*.....I can olny say they "seem" happy and both of them "seem"to be two good persons... *even if there a lot theories about why people marry people who look like them ;D

But Tracy always comes across as sweet and adorable and, well, perfect for Noah. Yes she is. Nobody knows the real relationship between them. But I'm pretty sure that Noah is a classic family man and Tracy gave him one. (Oh, and 2 lovely children.) He looks so happy when he's with his sweet family. What a coincidence that Noah and Carter both have a THING for older women:-) Tracy looks so mature. That's way better than just a cute face.

Indeed... but (from recent pics in Italy for instance... ) they really look like they couldn't be more perfect for each other. They've been together for 15 years and they act like they just fell in love with each other. Even if it wasn't Noah I think I'd still envy such a relationship ... Anyway, back to Carter, I finished re-watching s1, and I just love the last episode!! I didn't remember, but it starts like the pilot: the Pilot started with Mark snoring, the finale of S1 starts with Carter snoring ;D. Carter is really central in that last episode. It starts and finishes with him, and he has a great storyline with a kid having leukemia and who's acting angry at his sister. I really got teary-eyed when the sister comes to talk to Carter in the end, telling him "I wish that once in my life, I can make such a difference in someone else's life". Wow! That's an amazingly nice thing to say... And poor Carter in the beginning ... he had to turn down the offer of the Sub-I in the ER in order to show that he is motivated only by the surgery sub-I, and he didn't get the latter, so it starts as his very last day in the ER (I don't remember at all when I first saw it almost 15 years ago if I was wondering if they were writing off Carter from the show... the thought would have been really unpleasant!) and he is alone with a trauma and even starts a crichothyrotomy all by himself , looking completely panicked... It made me wonder at that point if it wouldn't be better if a nurse could do it . I love how Benton implicitly let him know that he did the right thing with starting the crike (so much like Benton to not tell him something like 'Good job, Carter!'). And then Benton just tells him coldly what he has to do before leaving, letting Carter alone in the trauma room looking completely defeated ... Noah is awesome in the scene. And on a random note, I don't think he had recovered from mononucleosis at that point yet. He really looks not so good for the full 6-7 last episodes... And was Carter really an exceptional student? or did they lower the level of the students over the year in the ER? It feels to me like there were a few interns in more recent years that couldn't even intubate, while it's routine for Carter at the end of S1 and he's just a 3rd year med student. He even got to lead trauma, do central lines, and now even started a crike...

I love season 1 finale. I think it's one of the moments I really felt in love with Carter's character. And the finale scene was just perfect. I wanted to punch Benton in the forehead in that scene!!! Great acting from Noah, I agree. Indeed. Because nowadays it's not only hard to find a relationship like this in Hollywood, but it's hard to find that everywhere I made some clip from Ground Zero, Season 4. Anna found out that Carter was very rich and got angry with him..... Noah's expression when she killed the beattle is priceless ;D I so loved Carol's reaction to the Carter's paint

I so loved Carol's reaction to the Carter's paint big thumb I don't like Anna's reaction in that episode. But Carol smiled like a big sister to Carter ! (She always acted like a big sister to Carter though... )

Me neither... I can understand that she thought Carter was in the same financial situation as her, but it was all understandable (and sweet...) from him to want to be known as 'normal ' first . I don't see how he could have brought up the fact that he was filthy rich just like that out of the blue. It's a bit weird that the reactions were almost always pictured as very negative when people talked about Carter as really rich (Benton in season 1 looking at Carter in a bit disgusted way... Susan and Abby in Secrets and Lies... ). And this episode has one of the most disturbing goofs of the whole ER history!!!! (kidding... ) Carter says in season1 that Marygold (Sp?) is white ...

I think Anna's reaction was too harsh, but I can understand why she was so angry and I got that she was angry more about the fact that he lied to her than about the fact he was so rich. Anyway the thing didn't last too long and she forgave him very soon I think it's realistic and it showed that there's a big prejudice about rich people. Even Carter's character was "judged" from some fans on the basis of his wealth.... We can easily say that TPTB weren't so good about details
