I got it!!!! FInally! I can say that I loved it but I can't say that I hated it too. What I liked - THE OLD CREDITS! - Rainy Chicago. I don't why but I've always had a thing for it. - I like the first scene.....until I saw Stamos. - Lydia! Malik! - The Frank and Rachel scene. I almost cried. - Ghandi..... - Carter's speech scene. - Shoot me: Carter and Kem scenes. I don't think they're done and I love that this man never gives up. I can't say the same for Kem but I wan't to think that she'll find her way to do the same for him....off screen. And Noah and Thandie had more chemistry in one brief scene than Gates and Sam in the last two seasons. - Rachel! I can't stand the first Zima's version. But that Rachel was really likeable. - All the "oldies" scenes. - Jerry" Because he's a doctor?" LOL. No, because he's THE doctor ;D - And Carter got the very last line. And I think it was the best one. What I didn't like - Scott Grimes after Lyons and Stamos? NO WAY! -Too-much-Gates. Period. I can't care less about him and Sam. And I couldn't see Carter until around 15:00. - Gater and his bed. - Gates and his "gift" for Sam. - Gates and Sarah. - Gates, Gates, Gates, Gates...... ;D - The blonde doctor....I don't know what's her name. But I can't stand her. And I think the baby who eats the rosary is a reminder of the baby who eat the key in the pilot. And Breener speech to Dr Wade looks a little like the one which Carter gave to Lucy in The Good Fight.

There's always kids who swallow stuff in the ER. I remember a kid who swallowed a wedding ring... was that from the pilot or from another episode? Anyway, the baby with the rosary was definitely a callback to that sort of scenario.
Also, the ending with everyone waiting for the ambulances to arrive outside the hospital. I remember a scene like that from season 1, I just don't remember if it's from the pilot or not. I wonder if that's what Carter's "deja vouz" comment was supposed to refer to.
You know, I really think bringing the old nurses back was a stroke of genius. I really grinned every time I saw a familiar face.

Actually, you can hear paramedics and Morris after that, but not really any 'real' lines! So yes, I think Carter got the last line, but I was a bit pissed it wasn't technically the last line . Call me greedy! Yeah, I can't stand her either. You mean the one that asked Carter when he was just back and said "I used to work here", "as what?"... I never bothered to learn her name. What was the name of the intern (a guy) who was with her in that scene when carter shows up in "The Beginning of the end"? I liked that one! He was very cute in the interviews in "What we do". I just realized he wasn't in the finale . Totally a reference to the key... That's true! I only saw in it the speech of Mark to Carter in the pilot, (and Carter to Gallant), talking about people needed help, but other sentences felt familiar but weren't in the pilot ... That's right! it was in the Good Fight ;D.

Yes! Maybe I'm wrong but I remember Ross had a little patient who eat his mother's house key. The mom got really angry about it while Ross and the little kid were laughing....was it in the pilot? Me too ;D I think his name was Grady....maybe

Who, the "....thoracotomy?" guy? Yeah, he was adorable! Apparently his name is Dr. Paul Grady. Thank god for IMDB. ETA: Raffy beat me to it.

Yep, I watched it just a couple of days ago, it was definitely in the pilot. And there was a 'dwarf' prostitute swallowing the wedding ring of one of her clients once... I don't remember which season, but not before 6 I think...

Yikes, might be from another medical show, but there was definitely also a child who swallowed a wedding ring right before the parents actually were supposed to get married, or something like that. I don't remember the key swallowing child, though. People need to stop eating weird stuff.

yes i remember a child that swalloed a ring, because he didn't want his mother to get married. Another refrence to the pilot the way Lydia woke up Morris at the begining. Does anybody remeber the flashlight Carter had to pull out of the guy's butt.

"Still working. Just kidding, it's a different flashlight." ;D That wasn't in the pilot, was it?! Man, I want to watch that season again so badly.

I didn't see any comment about that anywhere, but I feel like the sculpture that was really very much to see while Carter and Kem are talking on the stairs must have a meaning (why put it like that in front of them and taking a third of the screen?): But I don't see for sure what it is. A couple kissing, with the woman on the right? A few days after the finale, I made my peace with the totally open ending for Carter/Kem by considering that the writers let us pick up the ending we prefer, with putting little signs going both directions (they split or they get closer...), and I guess that's one sign going towards them reconciling . Also, was Carter checking Kem's dress an homage to Lucy in "The storm part 1" ? ("Was he staring at my a$$ ?" ) ETA: Lol, this correct language editor is a pain . "Was he staring at my a$$?" became "was he staring at I disagree"... Makes total sense to me

I see exactly this. A woman and man kissing. A SIGN! Mmmm.....seeing that I can't say Thandie has what Lucy has .....she is way too slim I want to think that he's staring at her dress....and at her....probably he liked her choiche and come on.....the poor man has a wife but I don't think they got a lot of "intimacy" lately so I suppose he miss this thing too. It's really understandable. When you really love someone you want to kiss, hug him.... Give the man a little of love, woman!!!
