Funny enough, I found that scene just a few weeks ago... . I thought I had gone through all the extras on S6 DVD, but apparently not (I guess I had my focus a lot more on the second half of the season, which was waaaay more interesting for Carter, and I hadn't checked cut scenes of the first 2 DVD ). I was really really amazed to find that ;D!!!

Wait, there are extras for the second half of the of the season? Seriously? Would you accept this here pile of imaginary gold in exchange for some clips? *puppy dog eyes*

Well, I'll have to check, but I remember I was disappointed big big time with them... Hardly anything with Carter . I kinda remember there's one more scene in BSMH with Carter and Lucy treating Sobriki. I think that's it... Nothing significant at all post-stabbing (meaning they probably used all they shot.. Generally speaking, that's not a bad sign . There are really not many scenes deleted with Carter, all seasons included. I guess they didn't want to cut out the good stuff ;D!) I just uploaded this other scene in Leave it to Weaver (really really not as hot as the other but goofy Carter is always adorable...) ETA: If it's not liquid... Sorry, couldn't help it. Blame it on Benton . Seriously, I'll upload all the deleted scenes with Carter from S6... but don't expect a lot . That scene with Elaine is THE highlight IIRC. ETA2: Ah!! now I remember another scene (*jumps on her DVD*), in "Under Control", between Carter and the OD guy (the one he has a hart time to intubate because his back hurts... ), where the guy tells him he wanted to die and Carter's reaction is quite powerful. To come really soon! ;D

I remember a deleted scene from Under Control, I think... where Carter's talking to his attempted-suicide patient... And the man's looking for reasons to keep on fighting. Carter tells him 'because you're alive, and that's enough." I thought it was a powerful scene because you can see Carter obviously suffering, and the patient tells him he has no idea what he's going though... right. I'm pretty sure it was on youtube. Lemme see if I can find it... aha. it's one of the scenes in this clip- from about 00:50 to 02:00 ETA: you beat me to it. Great minds think alike... I'm sure you can provide us with a better quality video though.

OMG!!! Can't believe my eyes. The hottest moment in ER ever!!!!!!!(calm down, calm down, deep breath...)speaking of BREATH......How hot was that?!! Thank you very much, Claire!
I take the words back. Elaine is a vital woman among them all. Any other making out scene feels boring compared to this one. And now I remember another scene. After Elaine had the surgery Carter went to see her. And they kissed...Carter pulled her hands around his back and said "if you want me to leave just say so" (something like that) That scene was hot too but compared to this one...<-getting sick

Here, spaceyume... have an ice-pack. There are plenty of buckets of ice cold water to go around... ;D
It's very interesting. It can be interperted in so many ways given the context... is Carter feeling guilty for being alive while Lucy died? Does he feel that the pain and the depression and the misery are his punishment for still being alive? Or does he really feel so greatful to be alive that nothing else matters?

Carter tells him 'because you're alive, that's enough.' It was a powerful scene! Never saw that too... Watching the patient telling Carter his painful marriage, it's weired that I couldn't stop relating it to Carter's renal failure in Season15. Then it got double sad hearing "Because you're alive, that's enough." Oh, it's a really complicated line. I think he had multitude emotion while saying this. Even though he's extremely upset and angry about the stabbing but he tried to convince himself that he's already lucky enough to be alive. Especially while Lucy died, although he was in so much pain but he won't allowed himself to complain anything. Here, spaceyume... have an ice-pack. There are plenty of buckets of ice cold water to go around... ;D >:(I'm trying...

Each time I see old ER with a renal failure patient, and/or on dialysis, treated by Carter, I have this bad feeling: "one day you'll get there Carter" ... And at the point of that scene, I'm not sure Carter can totally relate to how the guy feels. He has no chronic disease, his condition should only improve from then on... But he can relate to that guy's pain for sure. And as you said Anna, his "you're alive, that's enough" can be interpreted in so many ways. Carter is obviously in a bad psychological place, not suicidal I guess, but maybe he's telling himself that he cannot afford to get depressed thoughts, since he is alive and that's all that counts. Lucy didn't get that chance... I read his sentence as being guilt, both survivor guilt and plain "it's my fault" guit. He won't complain, he won't accept being pitied, because he is lucky to be alive and that's enough. I don't see why they cut that scene, well, maybe it was too revealing at that early point that Carter's recovery was going to be extremely hard and that guilt would eat him...

Good point, spaceyume. I didn't think about that. Thank you, Anna:-) But I would rather go back to re-watch the hot scene than worrying about the renal failure...<-Sick again.

I would like to know why the hell they cut the Elaine and Carter scene Did they want to stick with the cute and sweet guy and puppy dog image? I'm conviced that Wells and Co. wasted a lot of time with Carter and didn't use all Carter's potential. An entire season devoted to Carter and Abby and not only I can't say she loved him but also I can't say if there was "physical attraction" at all because all we saw it was Abby and her family .

An entire season devoted to Carter and Abby and not only I can't say she loved him but also I can't say if there was "physical attraction" at all because all we saw it was Abby and her family . This deleted scene totally showed Carter/Noah's potential of sexual attraction...The acting was great...I'm telling you, it's more than great because none of the un-deleted scenes has that power. I can't see the I love you you love me chemistry in their relationship but what's up with the PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY? It's so strong that I can't believe it's actually ER, a medical show we know. No wonder they cut it because if they kept the scene ER would lose its balance.(it feels to me that this scene is physically hotter than the hottest moment of Doug/Carol's, the top 1 chemistry couple in the show.) And in a very sick way, can we take the view that although the scene was deleted but if ER's a real world, no matter whether we could see it or not, Carter was THAT SEXY after work everyday...? O...M...G...I really need to stop the delusion.

I would like to know why the hell they cut the Elaine and Carter scene Did they want to stick with the cute and sweet guy and puppy dog image? I'm conviced that Wells and Co. wasted a lot of time with Carter and didn't use all Carter's potential. I don't get it either. And when you think about it, it's the only Carter's relationship where they showed sexual attraction, I mean, real grown up sexual attraction (not Harper-jumping-under-the-blankets kind of love making I mean... : . And that scene was just making it clear that the writers were moving Carter towards a real sexy man (and not a boy anymore...). And it feels like they didn't dare totally. Chen was back a bit after, and he went back to nerdy goofy with her. Maybe the writers got scared that the audience didn't want to lose young Carter... I don't know if they actually 'wasted' the character of Carter, but with thinking about that deleted scene, and what was going on in S5-beginning S6, I feel like the writers really didn't know where to take Carter anymore. They had an easier time showing him growing up from a boy to a man, but once he had reached real adulthood, it's like they didn't know what man he was supposed to be . And they never really found out actually... as far as his love life is concerned at least. But in the end, we know that he is a very dedicated selfless man, who will be happy as long as he can be a doctor. He is THE doctor! ;D. It's not so bad actually... And it was consistent all along ER that it was his dream, just becoming the best doctor he could and helping people and becoming a teacher so that other people will become great doctors too .
