Oooh, that's the clip I was obsessing about the last few days, could these two BE any cuter? ;D ;D ;D Noah is so dorky wearing the jacket over the hospital gown. And this is why we love them. *is a die-hard Benton/Carter shipper* Oh man, I can't wait to see how this plays out. I also don't know what's going to happen (I didn't know Noah was coming back... I don't even know how many more episode he's signed up for ) and the uncertainty is killing me.

Lol!! yeah, he is ;D. Too bad there wasn't a wide shot of him, with the gown showing under the jacket, his bare knees, and the socks!!! Even that kind of outfit can look sexy on him I bet ;D.

Actually, Raffy, if I don't find out what's going to happen I might go insane... NEED SPOILERS!!! But yeah, I would really appreciate if you could tell me what the hell they have planned for him. I don't care if it ruins the anticipation (it won't, because seeing him is always exciting even if you know the script line by line) BUT I JUST HAVE TO KNOW. I've seen the promo for the new episode and I kinda know what happens there, but that's about it.
*is off to read through the spoiler thread*

I downloaded the retrospective (yay full HD, for some of the scenes it's the first time I'm seeing them in good quality... like the stabbing scene- holy @$@#), and I uploaded the final couple of minutes that you can't find on youtube (part 6/6, I guess). Nothing major, but some touching moments. Notice moments 00:40 (see, I KNEW Noah was either crying or close to tears in that scene!) and 01:11- he's wiping a tear. And I love Noah's gesture at the end. ;D *goes back to not doing chemistry homework*

Since they didn't put that scene in the episode, it's really good they 'gave' it to us as the final scene of the retrospective ;D (or was it really just a Noah's gesture and not something scripted?) And the 0:40 part is so cute... . It looks like Alex is watching at the camera saying "have you ever seen something more touching?" and Eriq is a bit like "that's our guy...". They are so adorable I want to hug my screen!! I want to hug anything... Pillow, pillow, where is my pillow?

Yes, they are beautiful together. It confirms that the scenes they played together in those final episodes were a kind of reflection on the real life relationship between them. I seem to remember that Eriq was the only ER actor mentioned as being a guest at Noah's wedding in 2000. Normally when someone leaves a job , school etc, they keep one special friend from that time of their life and for Noah and Eriq this is that special friendship. Awww and Noah blushing always melts my heart

While I wanted to post something here, I rewatched the clip that Anna posted of the retrospective (Couldn't help it... ) and the music in the background at the very beginning really reminds me of the last scene of "One for the road". That music is forever associated to that scene in my mind, where Carter and Kem are sitting on a bench in the night along the lake, and he asks her if she has an answer to his proposal... That reminded me that that scene belongs to the ones that make me go "wow" over Noah's acting . When she says "It felt so right, didn't it?" and he answers "Well.. it is right", his face is so heartbreaking, his broken voice... all perfection... . It's there from 3:52 on (I couldn't find a better version... ) And of course now I forgot why I came here for in the first place ... Ah! it had to do with Midnight too. If you don't have the DVD of s10, or didn't see that yet, it's a deleted scene of Midnight: I find it so extremely sad when he says "there isn't really all that much of anybody to ask". Like in "Old Times", he is alone... This is outraging!!! How can such a great selfless guy feel like he has no one to call in times of need?

Alright guys, I am in desperate need of some happy clips. All this pain and heartbreak are making my depression grow to monstrous proportions, wonderful as Noah is, it physically hurts to watch those scenes. My happy pills are helpless in the face of season 10 Carter! Those are some wonderful scenes. I'd never seen the deleted scene from Midnight, although I remember reading the spoilers for that episode, there was a script that was leaked out and the scene was there. Then I didn't see it in the episode and completely forgot about it, but man, this is just... too hard to watch. You'd think that if Carter learned anything from his drug addiction time it's that there are people who care and would do anything to help him. I guess it's part of who he is, being unable to reach out for help... But the missed opportunities here make me angry. And I keep forgetting he's not real. Here's where the girl in me wakes up and screams "you've gotta get yourself someone like THAT". ER's messed with my mind, it set my standards so high that anyone who isn't Carter is just not worth it.

That music is forever associated to that scene in my mind, where Carter and Kem are sitting on a bench in the night along the lake, and he asks her if she has an answer to his proposal... It's 8:52 AM. Brand new day. I just got the office and checked out the new posts here... And BOOM! Heartbroken... This proposal scene is more than sad. Noah showed us a totally broken heart on his face, in his voice. When you're an ER fan(maybe luby fans), you may just feel bad for him. But when you're a Carter fan, it will kill you....You want to do anything to protect him from those tragedies and then realize you can't get in the screen....(Although I liked Kem but this scene drove me crazy. Look at him, this guy is dying, lady... ) My favorite scene of Carter/Kem is 11x21, in Paris. Kem called Carter at dawn to ask him out and they got on a train. She covered his eyes and shew him the morning in Paris. OMG, I can see the look on his face now. That's a man in love. NoNo, that's CARTER in love, feeling the beauty of this world with the woman he love...

Okay... now I definitely feel bad . I promise I won't post anything angsty, sad, heartbreaking about Carter in the next hmmmm *coughs*... 24hours ? I can't go to Paris and to that subway line without thinking of Carter and Kem . I always have in mind Kem's "Paris le matin..." (Actually they cheated on that scene: the view on the Eiffel Tower is from a suburb train bridge, not the subway line they are in ). They showed Carter and Kem running to the subway at the end of the Retrospective, and they are shown among the 'happy scenes' of ER... It's disturbing a bit. Kem was looking in a better place back then than 5 years later. While watching the retrospective I thought they were giving us hints of what the finale would be (especially with being spoiled about Rachel Greene coming back and them showing Mark saying "Fix Rachel" on his list of things he would have wanted to do before dying), so I naively thought that them showing happy Carter and Kem was a good sign ... (hmmm.. does that count as not all happy jolly post? jeee, I'm hopeless... Sorry guys)

Oddly enough I don't remember that scene at all. Maybe because I consciously decided not to watch 99% of season 11... Now you got me curious. It's one of the things that bother me most about the finale. She seemed to be getting better, dealing with her loss, moving on, FIVE YEARS AGO. Now I realize that losing a child is something that's going to haunt you, and nobody says that after many years you aren't allowed to grieve, but in the finale, it's like the character's frozen in the same place that she was when we last saw her. No, not even that- she's actually worse than the last time we saw her. You'd expect some sort of progress in five years, right? I guess if you think about it, the whole thing must have been very emotional for her... she's flying over to Chicago which must be difficult for her, to attend the opening of a center named after her dead son, to hear Carter refer to it as a small tragedy and then spend like 5 seconds with her that entire evening... But somehow it didn't feel like a traumatized, hurt woman. It feels more like sloppy writing.
