I hope it's okay to start a new thread here Raffy
That was a great great episode once again! ;D They do not disappoint!
I've read here and there that it might be the best episode of Falling Skies so far. I'm not sure, but it's right up there among my 2 or 3 favorites ;D
Starting with the end, I can't say how much I love the last scene between father and son. First time I'm actually crying while watching Falling Skies (and not only having wet eyes..., I mean, really big tears!)
Noah totally got me at the moment his voice cracked while saying "you kept screaming 'don't leave me'!"... It's amazing how at that moment you can feel that the father has become the one who can't help but cry, the one who would be at the window with "his face pressed up against the glass".
I guess my mind is still too stuck on that ending scene to really comment about all the rest...
Well, one scene I also found amazing was Tom talking to the overlord, through Ben. At first I thought it was clear for Tom that Ben had to be there in order to communicate with the overlord, but then Tom seems to be surprised and freaked at the realization that the overlord had taken over Ben... I was surprised that Tom was actually keeping going and let the overlord control his son for so long... Really nicely creepy scene, with Ben having the exact same intonations as Karen when the overlord was speaking through her.
"Sentiment, weakness, you are in over your head, Tom Mason" was a very powerful line.
The full episode showed how much Tom is controlled by his emotions, which indeed may make him very weak, but I wonder if this weakness won't be shown as being a strength in the future.
