1st hour “ World’s Apart” Summary The season two premiere begins three months after Tom Mason agreed to go with the alien invaders. Weaver is still in command of the 2nd Mass, while Anne continues to serve as medic. They have seen many battles and are a much leaner unit now. Pope has taken command of the Berserkers, a renegade group within the 2nd Mass that Weaver doesn’t fully trust. When Tom suddenly returns, he is faced with doubt about his loyalties to the group. Meanwhile, Hal and Ben continue to drift apart as Ben challenges his older brother’s authority. 2nd hour “ Shall We Gather at the River”Summary Tom is still haunted by memories of his time with the aliens and begins to wonder if they did something to his mind. Pope, who is in charge of questioning Tom, plants seeds of doubt about him among the group. Meanwhile, Ben’s hatred for skitters grows, and the 2nd Mass scouts locate an old bridge that will help them cross the river to safety ahead of an impending attack.

I managed to find a way watch to it ;D. Not in great quality, but good enough... I'll need to re-watch of course, but first impression is very positive! ;D So far, so very good! You know I've been a bit negative about first season. Well, I'm quite thrilled with that premiere! ;D Everything seems better... music, special effects, writing... ;D I wasn't convinced when I read that Tom's journey in the spaceship would be shown through flashbacks, and was wondering how they would bring them, but him getting shot was actually a very clever way to bring those flashbacks! And now I understand why there's a skitter named "Redeye"! Seems like a very interesting plot... Preview for next ep looked very promising. ;D My only little negative remark on the writing would be: who thought it was a bright idea to have Tom handcuffed and attached inside a heavy bus crossing a bridge that's falling to pieces? That was so calling for trouble...

I was never a fan of Science Fiction until Falling Skies, the only reason why I decided to watch Falling Skies was because Noah was going to be in it. After the first season I developed a little more respect for Sci Fi. But this season I have so much respect for it. It was amazing and I was on the edge of my couch the whole night. I can't put it into words because it was so good. Did you all hear already they are already writing season three?! That is what Remi posted on Twitter. I really do see a third season after this premiere. I'm happy they didnt take away the history components of the snow. I love when Tom Mason talks history , I'm a huge history nerd. That was the only thing that kept my interest during the first season, well besides the many questions I had. Like why are the aliens here? and what have they done to Ben? etc. And of course Noah. You know I've been a bit negative about first season. Well, I'm quite thrilled with that premiere! ;D Everything seems better... music, special effects, writing... ;D I agree, everything is better. I did enjoy the action and the flashbacks this season. The ratings are going to be high and I see many more seasons in the future if they keep up what they are doing. I also want to say Noah did a fantastic job. Words can not describe how great of an actor he is. Like Raffy has said before, Noah really needs an Emmy! ;D I really look forward to next Sunday, I cannot wait!

Oh yeah... ;D I re-watched both episodes, and he's perfect all the time. Never overacting, and his eyes can carry so much emotion... Talking about eye, the cgi on the 'eyeball scene' was really great! And I loved little details, like Tom finding a bag full of bills, just to burn them... I was wondering what he'd do with them. Bah of course! Great to make a nice fire! ;D It didn't come to my mind at first that those bills were actually totally useless in the world they are now living in (if you don't count making a fire ). Noah said he wouldn't show Tom with new clothes unless you see him getting in a Gap. Well, it wasn't a gap, but it was explained how he got his new coat! Strong déjà vu feeling when Tom wakes up at the end of the first part, telling Anne "you're still here?", exactly like Carter waking up after kidney transplant in season 15 of ER . I was almost expecting Anne to say back "I didn't want to miss all the fun... " I really didn't see flaws in the writing like I sometimes did last season. Sometimes it was hard to explain how characters could cover long distance so shortly. While now, Tom says at a point that he's been walking for weeks, and even finds a motorcycle to go on with his trip. It doesn't seem so impossible that he manages to find back the 2nd Mass... Something I'm wondering though: how do they do for food now? what did Tom eat between Michigan and Massachusetts? (I guess not much and Noah certainly does look extremely thin in the first episode!)

Nice review here on io9 ;D A tale of two survivorsThat's twice now that I read that the nightmares may not be only nightmares I'm wondering what this is supposed to mean... I really like the sound of this review focusing on Tom and Ben, and I'm very looking forward to seeing where their story is going!

I'm re-watching the 2nd part and just noticed that in the pictures that Anne pinned in the bus, just right of Ricky's, there's the woman who had a baby in first season... That's a sad detail... but I like that they didn't put only two persons we knew from first season, and then just anonymous people... I really like that they paid attention to details: Tom still has a scar on his forehead, Maggie's hair is growing and she's hardly blonde anymore, Anthony now has big scars on his face...

the "nightmare" Tom had really looked incredibly real to me too and when he woke up I was ready to see the alien in the tent!! Wondering whether it could be some kind of psychological link, à la Harry Potter, with the link between Harry and Voldemort....

That's twice now that I read that the nightmares may not be only nightmares I'm wondering what this is supposed to mean... I have read the Overlord or maybe it's the "Red Eye" Skitter or both will communicate to Tom and Ben. I read it will be through his mind, so maybe the nightmares will be how the aliens communicate to him. I don't know for sure...

I could see that this first episode and I agree on all points! the second season starts very well! No annoying music, good point! ;D Otherwise the scene of the eye is great, I clung to my couch and I suffered for him!! I look forward to see more but I can no longer watch streaming if you have a website (subtitled French of course)!
