A collection of mostly unfinished drawings I made in the 80's and 90s. The Tom Selleck drawing must be from the early 80s when I was about 14. The coloured one is Harry Hamlin from LA

That is a question I ask myself every day. I'm a creative person with a constant conflict between that creative side and my orderly side. Things I love are drawing, modern art, interior decoration but I am also a good administrator, organizer and I like doing research. An interest discovered years ago is genealogy, which means digging into online databases and google books looking for information about my ancestors. Along the way I learn a lot about local historic figures and Dutch national history and paintings from the Dutch Golden Age. At the age of 16 I had to make a choice about my future. I made the wrong decision by attending an Administrative Economic MBO school (middle-level applied education) and ended up having uninspiring office jobs. Right now I'm recovering from a burnout after having worked from my home for five years. Exhausted from working 7 days a week and dealing with emotional issues. I am now considering a career switch at the age of 45 but I’m always worried about money and don’t know how to make a real change. My voluntary work at the local municipal archives starts in August. It's an office job but at least I will be surrounded by historical documents.

You inspired my again and made me decide to grab my pencils last night. These are Noah drawings I never finished. I think I'll give them another try. The Tom Mason one is from a blown-up low quality back stage photo. They are beautiful! I love them! ;D Good luck with the new job as well! ;D

Nothing special really: soft B graphite pencils (I used a 5B today) or watercolor pencils, a sharpener, an eraser a A3 sketchbook (135 gram) and ordinary kitchen tissues. I have tried charcoal pencils but I prefer regular pencils.

I finished the 'Tom Mason' drawing. I've produced better drawings, whehe . The drawing is darker and less scratchy, but somehow the photocamera makes the dark pencil a lot brighter. The actual fan photo was taken near the trailers after a very long day and night of filming. Noah looks exhausted.

I made a start with my version of the Tom Mason close-up photo from January 2012, but I have to stop now because my neck and left shoulder blad are killing me.
