Librarian marathon! ;D That's one great idea!!! But one thing came to my mind with reading that: "2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors." What does the Librarian have to do with that? If there's one "heroic struggle of (...) survivors" that I want to get a sneak preview of, it's for sure not "2012"!!! And especially not if that sneak preview is introduced by a Librarian marathon! There's another survivors' story that would make a LOT MORE sense!

I'm starting to think that we're not going to see this pilot as soon as we thought. And it would be a smart move with all the V fuzz. I hear that V will be stopped after episode 4 and it will start again around February. Even if I'm sure those two shows have in common only the alien factor (and I've to say that I'm not interested in V's premises....conspirancy, politcs, psicologic games .... ) probably TNT and Spielberg think that it's not a good idea launching a new alien show while there's another new one with so good numbers. Plus I hear that Rodat got other job to do so maybe that is delaying this project.

It's disturbing how many alien shows and post-apocalyptic scenarios seem to be coming up on TV this year. Maybe it's just because I'm paying more attention now? I saw posters for 2012, and I've heard of V, and both made me really nervous. Mostly because my first reaction is "THAT SHOULD BE A POSTER FOR NOAH'S still untitled SHOW!", and second because Raffy's right. A show can be well written and have amazing actors and be technically perfect, but what it all comes down to is whether the "climate" is right for it. And right now there are just too many "survivor" shows out there. So I guess it's best to wait, or people might be so fed up with the alien stuff that they never give this a shot.

I guess there are two ways of seeing it, either "too many aliens shows right now", or "Aliens are selling right now... let's go! " .. like vampires last year... Either way, I'm a bit bothered that the synopsis for the still untitled pilot right now does not sound very original... not only because it may delay its airing, but just for the fact that it's not sounding so ... 'special'... Yeah, that could be... But I feel like showing the 3 Librarians now is with the purpose of 'testing' something, or just to remind viewers that shows with Noah are not to miss, in preparation of something upcoming .

Well, if you think that V is a "remake", even if it's a revisited remake, I don't think you could really consider it something of "original". But aparently it's working.... But can I say that even if I like alien shows I've enough of shows with "strong" female characters and so so male characters? So I'm glad that Spielberg pilot is mainly centred around a male character who's a everyday man, a father and at same time an "hero". Right now few things sounds really original but I don't think that what makes some of them special is an original synopsis. Sometime it just matter of right moment.... Got the same impression ;D

That's true... Nothing comes to my mind with the main character being a father, and hardly anything with him being a likable male character... And good writing, and good actors ;D. It's true that "medical show" probably didn't sound original at all in 1994 .

Indeed. The subject wasn't original at all but I think the execution was totally new! Plus they had great scripts and a "legendary" cast ;D Anyway I don't think Spielberg is a man who gives up so easily so I want to be stay optimistic: we're going to see this d..... UNTITLED alien invasion project!

I was wondering if there's going to be another Librarian movie. I don't think so seeing that Noah will be busy for the next months with the new pilot and even if I'm really happy he's doing it part of me is also sad that it also means no funny Flynn.... for now...?

Well according to this old article (november '09) there will be (in theaters!), but since we haven't heard anything about it since, and IMDb says nothing, I guess not... Keeping my fingers crossed though!

Looks like something out of "Pirates of the Caribbean" rather than the Librarian, but then he was in "Pirates of Silicon Valley"

I'm going to have to go and watch all the Librarian films again. I can't remember a sleeveless Flynn
